Laboratory of Tian Xue at University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) is part of the School of Life Sciences and the Hefei National Laboratory for Physical Sciences at Microscale.  The lab is located in the life Science Building at the west campus of USTC.

Light promotes life. Organisms on earth have evolved under the crucial impact of the sun, and therefore light has become a most important environmental factor for lives to survive and thrive. Our lab is hence interested in understanding physiological characteristics and signaling mechanisms of photo-sensation, revealing neural circuits involved in this process and exploring methods for vision restoration after photoreceptor degeneration.
